He Yaqiong, Director of the Consumer Goods Industry Department of MIIT, mentioned in response to a question from Xinhua News Agency that relevant departments are actively promoting the construction of a recycling system for scrapped old lithium batteries in e-bikes, carrying out work in two aspects: strengthening top-level design and launching special initiatives. In the next step, they will intensify efforts to urge trade-in of old batteries, accelerate the scrapping of old vehicles and batteries with risks, and achieve the "full collection" and standardized comprehensive utilization of scrapped lithium batteries from e-bikes.
